Conference will Feature Special Events on SDN, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, and More

Arlington, Va. (March 9, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced that prominent technology and telecommunications executives from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, NTT, SK Telecom, and General Motors, as well as two FCC Commissioners and a top U.S. Department of Defense official, will be among the keynote speakers at TIA’s Network of the Future Conference, June 2-4 in Dallas, Texas.

Members of the media interested in a free registration or in receiving more information should contact Farrah Kim, 202.568.8986.

The pre-eminent annual conference focused exclusively on the network, TIA 2015 will explore the emerging technologies, business models, and public policies shaping global communications networks. This year’s event takes on even greater importance as the industry faces a new regulatory environment, a spectrum crunch, privacy and security questions, the dynamic environment embracing virtualization, software-centric networks, the Internet of Things, challenges to doing business internationally, and more.

The keynote speakers will address these and other issues, and the conference will also include a series of highly focused, interactive special events, including sessions on the Internet of Things, software-defined networking (SDN), and cybersecurity. TIA 2015 will also feature two popular events from previous years, the CTO Roundtable and a Startups Competition. TIA is hosting the pre-conference oneM2M Showcase and Workshop taking place on June 1, the Texas Wireless Association Meeting on June 1, and the AT&T Supplier Conference on June 4.

FCC Commissioners Michael O’Rielly and Mignon Clyburn will discuss what’s next in information and communications technology (ICT) policy, especially in light of the FCC’s controversial decision to reclassify the Internet as a Title II utility. In another highlight of the conference, Fred Moorefield, Jr., Director of Spectrum Policy at the Department of Defense, will discuss how the spectrum crunch is demanding creative solutions from both government and industry.

Executives from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and General Motors will each discuss how their companies are driving innovation and global business success around the Internet of Things, intelligent transportation, big data, 5G, cybersecurity, and more.

The following keynote speakers were announced today:
